When Paul says that Christ is “the power of God and the wisdom of God” (1 Cor. 1:24), this is not a statement of identity between two persons or figures. Such an identification can be made only if the words “Christ … the wisdom of God” are artificially extracted from the context and read against a different background and teaching.
